Assuming you are running Windows 10, the current driver (linked below) is for ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004 so hopefully installing the latest driver will resolve the problem, because I do not see an older driver for your model specific to ACPI\VEN_LHK&DEV_2019.

Unfortunately that driver does not change things. I have also had to completely re-install Windows 10 due to one of the drivers I installed earlier causing a BSOD every time I restarted the laptop. I’ve only used the drivers for this laptop. As this is a brand new £1300 laptop, I am not in the slightest bit impressed with Lenovo over this. Whilst the specs and performance are impressive, how can they get away with shipping things that aren’t actually working properly? Even a restore to a factory shipped state doesn’t remove the «unknown device».

I’m guessing you have a hardware issue. May not be a driver issue per se. That device may simply not be working properly. I’d return it starting hardware issues.

I’m guessing I don’t, not when you search the Lenovo Forums and see just how many posts of this nature there are. The laptop itself works without apparent issue at this time, but I like to dot my i’s and cross my T’s, and having an «unknown device» in my Device Manager tends to leave me a little bit deflated.

I have solved this problem!

I have done a clean reset of windows with an usb pen, re-installed all the driver from the lenovo website and the problem was solved!

Unknown device ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003

I bought this laptop yesterday and installed all drivers from hp page.

But, there is still one uknown device:

What can that be? What should I install?

Can you provide an image of the device manager that also shows the device properties window open with the Details tab selected and the Hardware IDS selected? That will make the device information viewable.

In the device properties there should be a button that allows you to install a driver and have the OS search online for the driver.

Was there an update or something software that you installed that occurred prior to this showing up as an issue?

Have you created the USB recovery flash drive for your notebook yet? If not, please do that.

It may get to the point of having to perform a factory image recovery to bring your notebook to a base state where there are no unknown devices present.
