OCAD 2020 Update 20.5.7.3318 (2021-01-06)

Regular and free updates are included in the OCAD subscription model. The service update corrects minor problems and adds the latest cartography tools and enhancements to your OCAD.

For a list of changes see: OCAD_Update.txt

Your current version of OCAD can be seen under About OCAD in the Help menu.
The OCAD 12 and 2020 Updater can be used as a general overview and update tool for OCAD installations.

OCAD 12 Service Update 12.4.0.1684 (2019-11-06)
This service update corrects a number of small problems. For a list of changes see: OCAD_12_Update.txt

OCAD 11 Service Update 11.6.0.2161 (2016-02-17)
Corrects a number of small problems from the CD version. For a list of changes see: OCAD_11_Update.txt

OCAD 10 Service Update 10.5.1 (2013-05-28)
This service update corrects a number of small problems in 10.0.1 (CD version). For a list of changes see Ocad_10_Update.txt.

OCAD 9 Service Update 9.7.1 (2009-05-11)
This service update corrects a number of small problems in 9.00 (CD version). For a list of changes see Ocad_9_Update.txt.
Since version 9.5.0 software registration and activation is needed to start OCAD. There are two OCAD HowTos about online activation and website activation in OCAD 9.

карта в Garmin-e работает и очень точно позиционирует!

В каких пределах точность? Какой гармин? Если можно по подробней.

Поэтому опять кратко:

Залил в Oregon 300 карту по методике OCAD2IMG и сверил в полевых условиях с планшетом при реальных измерениях-составлении карты. Для сличения карты в навигаторе и на планшете использовал искуственную введенную сетку шагом 1 см.

Как работать:
1. Вогать шаблон топообоснования с учетом магнитного склонения в OCAD.
2. Постараться как можно точнее загнать его в истинные координаты в OCAD.
2. Нанести сетку с шагом

50 метров паралельно (и перпиндикулярно) истинных меридинов.
3. Конвертнуть согласно Инструкции
4. Загнать в Garmin
5. При полевых работать контролировать свое местоположение относительно сетки (п.2). Что бы под сеткой не было пусты на экране навигатора можно или пронумеровать квадраты или из обоснования внести, например, остов рельефа.

I have not checked if the same procedure is applicable in OCAD 8 / OCAD 10, but the OCAD people should be able to help you out as this is a job done fairly often:

Fill Bounded Area Mode

Use the newly added Fill Bounded Area Mode to automatically fill empty areas that are bounded by various objects from line or area symbols.

The area, that is entirely surrounded by objects will be filled with the selected symbol. If the area is not surrounded entirely by objects, the current view of the drawing window will be filled.

If you work with orienteering symbol sets (ISSprOM 2019, ISOM 2017), the function will ignore certain symbols like contours and north lines.

Toggle Between Vertices and Segements

There are 3 types of vertices: Normal-, Dash- and Corner Vertices.

Depending on wich Vertex Type you use, it will influence segments and line objects.

If you hold CTRL+SPACE key and click on a vertex, you can toggle through the different vertex types.

To toggle between straight and bezier curve segments, press CTRL+SPACE key and click on a segment.

Copy and Paste Objects Between Maps

It is now possible to copy/paste objects forth and back between two maps. A coordinate system needs to be set in both maps, but not necessarily the same one. Also, the map scales can be different. The pasted objects appear automatically at the right spot.

World Orienteering Day (WOD) is a project of the International Orienteering Federation to increase the visibility and accessibility of orienteering worldwide.

The next WOD will take place between May 19 th and May 25 th 2021. As one of World Orienteering Day’s partners, we offer a free OCAD Starter License for those who register for a WOD event. The licenses will run until end of July 2021.

OCAD Starter does not only include the Course Setting Module, but also the New Map Wizard, with which you can create an orienteering map anywhere in the world with just a few clicks.

Create Cleaner Contours

One of the strengths of OCAD is the generation of smoothed contour lines.

With the latest Service Update, a combined method of TPI and 3D smoothing is used for the calculation, which leads to improved results. The file size also shrinks, because at the same time irrelevant contour vertices are removed and the contours are converted into Bézier curves.

In our example, the not smoothed contours appear brown. The smoothed contours according to the new method (blue) are cleaner and show the terrain more precisely than according to the old smoothing method (green).
