London.

London, is the capital of Great Britain. It’s a very big city. London is situated on the river Thames. The Thames is the deepest river in Britain. There are 27 bridges over the Thames. Tower Bridge is one of the oldest and most beautiful bridges in London. It is more than 100 years. About 9 ml people live in London.

London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is also a very old city. London is 2000 years old. London consists of 3 main parts: the City, the West End and the East End. The City is the Heart of London, it’s business centre. There are many banks and offices there. The West End is the richest part of London. The main interesting places are situated there. And the East End is a working part of London.

The political centre is Westminster. Westminster Abbey is there. It is the traditional place of coronation for English monarchs. Many people are buried in the church.

There are many sights in London. Trafalgar Square is the most popular place for people to meet. In the middle of the square there is Nelson’s Column, which is 51 m. high.

The Queen of England lives in Buckingham palace. It is the most famous place in London.There are 600 rooms in it. It has an indoor swimming pool and a cinema.

One of the greatest English churches, St. Paul’s Cathedral , is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17 th century after the Great Fire. It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers. It is a royal church.

The most interesting museum is the Tower of London. The Tower of London was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it’s a museum. There are always black ravens in the Tower of London. People believe that London will be rich while the ravens live there.

Цель урока-игры : организовать деятельность обучающихся для закрепления изученного материала по теме «Лондон».

-образовательные: тренировка умений и навыков аудирования, монологической речи; совершенствование лексических навыков; способствование росту мотивации обучающихся в обучении английскому языку; способствование развитию умения создания презентаций по теме «Лондон»;

-развивающие : развитие зрительной памяти, мышления;

-воспитательные : формирование умения сотрудничать в группе и команде, воспитание ответственности за будущий результат; уважительное отношение к реалиям страны изучаемого языка.

Структура и ход урока.

1.Организационный момент (задача организационного момента: подготовить обучающихся к активному участию в уроке, ввести их в атмосферу иностранного языка)

-Good morning, my dear friends! I’m glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too). (Учитель приветствует детей, сообщает обучающимся цель урока. Обучающиеся делятся на две команды по 6 человек).

— Today we’ll take part in the game “Welcome to London!” We have two teams. I hope you know how to play this game. You will have different stations and different tasks. If the members of the team do the task better they will have a counter ( жетон ). At the end of the game the teams will count their counters and we’ll find out who is the winner. (Учитель привлекает внимание детей к станциям и напоминает правила игры. Команда, выполнившая задание лучше и быстрее, получает жетон. Выигрывает команда, которая получила больше жетонов).

1).It is one of the most famous museums in London. It’s the famous waxworks museum. At this museum there is a special place for the Queen’s family. You can see the Queen, her husband, their children and other members of the Royal family. (Madame Tussaud’s Museum).

2).It is a wonderful building. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. (the Tower of London)

3).It is one of the most famous churches in London. King Edward built this church in 1065. The coronation of all British kings and Queens took place there. (Westminster Abbey).

4).They are nice and big buildings with towers. The country’s leaders and the members of the British Parliament work in these buildings. The large clock in one of the towers is Big ben. (the Houses of Parliament)

5).Londoners love their parks and are proud of them. This park is famous for its outdoor entertainments and its Speaker’s Corner. (Hyde Park)

6).It is a famous bell and clock. Londoners hear it every hour. It is located on one of the towers of the Houses of Parliament. ( Big Ben ).

Урок разработан на основе учебника Пономаревой И.Н., Корниловой О.А. По ходу урока ребята побывают на осровах » Понятий», окунутся в реку » Микро-макроэволюции», посетят залив «Самос.

Цели и задачи игры: закрепление, повторение и углубление исторических знаний; развитие навыков творческо-поисковой, индивидуальной и групповой работы. Правила игры: • Участники игры разделены на две.

Обобщение по пройденным темам в виде урока игры «Кто хочеть стать отличником?».

При обобщении темы «Строение и функции клеток. Метаболизм» можно немножко разгрузить учащихся проведением урока в игровой форме. Учащимся очень нравится такой урок, они чувствуют себя наст.

London has a population of nearly seven million. It’s a big city. But travelling around it is easy. You can take a waterbus on the river. You can go in one of London’s famous red buses or black taxis. Or you can go on the Underground. Londoners call this ‘the Tube‘. It started in 1863, and it was the world’s first underground railway. Over twenty million tourists come here every year — eleven million from abroad and the rest are tourists from other parts of Britain.

There is so much for people to see in London: palaces, churches, cathedrals, the Tower, Trafalgar Square, and lots of museums and art galleries. And, of course, Madame Tussaud’s. Madame Tussaud brought her exhibition of wax models to London in 1802 and now over two and a half million people visit it every year.

But London is also a great place for shopping. This is Harrods, probably the most famous store in Britain. In 1834 Charles Henry Harrod started a small business as a grocer in the East End of London. Today the Harrods store has three hundred departments on seven floors and over three thousand staff. About thirty-five thousand people shop here every day.

Another popular place for shopping is Covent Garden. It’s also a centre of London street life. You can find street musicians, or buskers, here and street entertainers. You can also find some good street fashion. There are always interesting fashions in London. In the 1960s there was the mini skirt. Later there were punks and mohicans. And today in London there is this and this and even this.

So what do people like about London? I’m going to ask a few people. Could you tell me what you like most about London? The shops, I love shopping. I like the variety of London. I like Madame Tussaud’s, the shoes and the foods. The clubs and the buskers. Well, London’s got a lot of really nice buildings. The museums, especially the British Museum. I like the culture, and l like watching the people. I like all of London.
